Meet Bill Edwards
Bill Edwards is a songwriter. You know it for a fact before the first song ends. Whether it’s blues-tinged advice (“Love Knows”) or heart-tugging ballad (“I Can’t Keep My Mind Off Of You”), whether it’s political wit (“A Great Time To Be Crazy”) or “bluegrass/livestock love song” (“Champion Hog Caller”), Bill knows what makes a great song tick. That talent propelled him to a 1st place finish in the Country division of the Billboard® national songwriting contest. And it’s what makes others, from Lee Roy Parnell and T. Graham Brown to several independent artists, eager to cover his songs.
And Bill Edwards is a performer. Blessed with a warm tenor voice, which can alternately rock out or smoothly caress, he always hits the spots that reach an audience’s heart. Years of guitar-slinging in the popular East Coast band Blaze, and countless solo performances, have honed his chops to where the players in the crowd sit up and take notice. And his slyly humorous asides between the songs keep folks entertained and wanting more.
Bill divides his musical time between Ann Arbor, Michigan and Nashville, Tennessee. He’s wowed audiences from New York to Los Angeles, from Music City’s Bluebird Cafe to Ann Arbor’s wonderful live music venue, The Ark. He’s right at home before crowds of two hundred to two thousand.
